Tim Xu

A leading researcher on energy efficiency in critical facilities and building science, Dr. Xu has authored and coauthored over 70 papers and reports. A contributor to the various industrial handbooks and to improvement of California Title 24, Dr. Xu is a recipient of numerous awards and certificates for outstanding contributions in scholarly and professional publications, including two Maurice Simpson best paper awards, Willis Whitfield Award, and recognition from McGraw-Hill Inc/Association of American Publishers. Related to this project, Xu was the Contamination Control Technical Vice President of IEST (2005-2007), directing development of and facilitating publications of a number of industrial standards. He represented IEST as an US delegate to ISO TC209 “Cleanrooms and associated controlled environments” that formulates ISO Standards. Dr. Xu holds editorship as an editorial board member for Building and Environment, and Building Simulation, both international journals, and is a technical editor for the Journal of the IEST.
