Dr. Samuel Mao is a career staff scientist and principal investigator of Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. He is leading a research group of over twenty graduate students, postdoctoral and visiting scientists, developing sustainable energy technologies as well as studying the physics and applications of ultrafast laser-material interactions. He has published more than 50 refereed articles and delivered 30 invited talks at many international conferences and universities over the past few years.
