Reuben Deumling

Reuben Deumling is a Ph.D. candidate in the Energy & Resources Group. His research explores the intersection of regulation, consumption, and technology in the pursuit of environmental goals. He has focused in particular on energy efficiency as a policy framework through which consumption and environment are brought into relation. He has worked for the California Public Utilities Commission and the Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Environment and Energy, besides working as a consultant on home energy conservation, a translator, and a restorer of old houses. He earned an M.A. in Energy & Resources from UC Berkeley, and Bachelors degrees in Economics and Environmental Science from Willamette University.
