Nina Khanna (formerly Zheng) is a Senior Research Associate in the China Energy Group at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Since 2007, she has been working in the China Energy Group on China’s appliance efficiency standards and labeling programs, building energy efficiency, bottom-up energy end-use modeling, energy supply and energy policy analysis. Her recent research focused on an international comparative analysis of major standards and labeling programs in the world, China’s low carbon city development and evaluation and analysis of recent trends in China’s coal industry. Prior to joining the lab, she worked at the California Public Utilities Commission and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

Nina holds a Bachelors of Science in Science, Technology and International Affairs from the Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University and a Master’s in Energy and Resources from University of California at Berkeley. In her spare time, she enjoys photography, hiking, reading and cooking.
