
Klaus Schiess PE, CEM holds a bachelor degree in mechanical engineering from Witwatersrand University Johannesburg in South Africa. He has worked in South Africa, Germany and Switzerland before coming to America in 1978. Since 1987 he has been president of his own consulting firm KSEngineers in LaJolla and now recently also in Mill Valley, California. The firm specializes in developing HVAC energy conservation projects from energy audits to feasibility studies to design, specification, supervision and commissioning. Thermal Energy Storage (TES) has become one of his specialties as well as peer reviews and trouble shooting.
