Jeffery Greenblatt, PhD is a Staff Scientist at LBNL. He is currently Principal Investigator for the Carbon Cycle 2.0 Emerging Technology Assessment Team and the California's Carbon Challenge project, and oversees refrigerator economic modeling for the DOE efficiency standards program. He also serves on the California Council on Science and Technology, where he developed scenarios for energy futures in California and co-authored four major reports. He is an expert in integrated energy system modeling and forecasting, greenhouse gas technology assessment (including "wedge" analysis), appliance efficiency modeling, climate change science, and general data analysis. He has more than 10 years of experience in climate change and low-carbon energy technology assessment and modeling. Prior to joining LBNL, Dr. Greenblatt worked at Google on the RE<C initiative ("Renewable Electricity Cheaper than Coal") and was the lead author of the Clean Energy 2030 roadmap for low-carbon energy in the U.S. He received a PhD in chemistry from UC Berkeley in 1999.
