Ellen is a recent graduate of UC Berkeley's Master of City Planning program where she focused on housing, community, and economic development, with a particular interest in environmental justice and green jobs. During graduate school, she worked with Urban Habitat and the Center for Community Innovation to research equitable green economic development in Richmond and the Bay Area as well as assisting in a statewide study on green innovation in six California regions.
