Dirk Scheer, MA, born 1969, studied political science and romance literature at the universities of Heidelberg/ Germany and Seville/Spain. Since 2008 he is researcher at the Department for Sociology of Technologies and Environment, University of Stuttgart. From 2001 until 2008 Dirk Scheer has been project leader at the Institute for Ecological Economy Research (IOEW) where he carried out various research projects on topics such as environmental governance, product related environmental policy, sustainability impact assessment and risk communication. Main emphasis while working for ZIRN will be on potentials of simulation technologies at the science-policy interface.
