Mr. Wray has almost 30 years of experience as a consulting engineer and building scientist, conducting research on energy use, airflow, pollutant and smoke transport, performance simulation, and commissioning issues in buildings. His current research focuses on thermal distribution system experiments in commercial buildings, modeling these systems, developing and evaluating diagnostic methods for HVAC systems, and assessing the thermal performance of “cool” roofs and ducts. He has undergraduate and graduate degrees in mechanical engineering from the University of Manitoba, and is a registered professional engineer in the Provinces of Manitoba and British Columbia. Mr. Wray is currently a Member of ASHRAE’s Standards Committee, a past Chair of the ASHRAE Technical Activities Committee, a former Head of the ASHRAE Load Calculations and Energy Requirements Section, and is involved with many other professional committees.
