Yiwen Guo is a visiting researcher in the China Energy Group at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. His research concentrates on micro-grid development and application. He received his BEng Degree with honor in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from the University of Birmingham, UK, in 2011, and received his MS degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California in 2013. In 2010, he interned as a researcher in the North China Electric Power Research Institute, where he dealt with maintenance strategy of power systems. He also worked as a business assistant intern for the High Voltage Product Department at ABB in 2012. His research focuses on power systems, renewable energy and smart grid.
