
I was really keen on physics and math in middle school. Then chemistry started dominating throughout highschool and I went to college with a vision of me as an organic chemist. Then I slowly drifted into polymer/inorganic/physical chemistry and material science and started working on batteries. Now I'm fully in battery business, but I'm mastering nanofabrication, applied to energy materials. I'm also developing new characterization techniques (mostly laser/synchrotron based). I love challenges and learning new things. Team work is what suits me best, however it's all members of the team striving for excellence that make up a good one (no hiding behind anybody's back!). I keep looking for opportunities to employ all my skills (and learn something new) and do something useful.
I have a lot of experience in public speaking, scientific writing, teaching lay and professional audiences (I easily engage with people of different backgrounds). I also have a lot of experience with purchasing (I oversaw equipment purchases of ~$1M) and office work. I manage four student assistants, I'm also the safety leader of a few labs, I was running several committees of the student council at Warsaw University of Technology and helping run the family business when I was still living with my parents.
The latter experience exposed me also to the use of heavy machinery, maintenance of high pressure pneumatic and hydraulic systems, metal/plastic/wood machining and facing day-to-day engineering and logistic challenge as well as dealing with customers/suppliers.
