Chun Chun joined LBNL in 2009. Prior to this, she worked for the Institute of Energy Economics, Japan (IEEJ), a think tank that focuses on world energy supply and demand analysis.  As a researcher there, Chun Chun worked principally on government projects such as the Sino-Japanese Energy Efficiency Project. She is an expert on China's energy supply upstream and has played a key role in research projects on China's coal, natural gas, and electricity markets.  Chun Chun earned her both M.A. and PhD. in economics in Japan.
