Amal Mehrotra joined LBNL in 2011 as a Postdoctoral Research Associate and has been working with Dr. Venkat Srinivasan. He earned his Ph.D. at University of South Carolina in Chemical Engineering under the guidance of Dr. James Ritter. His dissertation work focused on the design of Pressure Swing Adsorption cycles for CO2 removal from Flue gas. At LBNL, Amal’s research is focused on understanding and quantifying mass transport in liquid electrolytes and at electrolyte / electrolyte interfaces.
