FLEXLAB (Facility for Low Energy eXperiments in Building) construction is well under way, as you can tell by the activities in front of LBNL Building 90 these days.  We will provide an update on construction activities, schedule and status of the exterior and interior testbeds.  In parallel, planning efforts have been under way for operations - an overview of status and efforts will be given, with an emphasis on the overall operating philosophy for the facility and relationships with key partners, both within LBNL and outside the lab.  We are also looking towards the first set of research projects for the facility.  Some projects are underway, some are in development, areas of interest have emerged for other projects and plenty of room is available for more.  An overview of these projects will be presented along with capability highlights and an open invitation to propose other ideas and consider FLEXLAB in your coming research proposals.
