After six months on the job as Berkeley Lab's Chief Sustainability Officer, I will provide a high-level overview of priorities and planned approaches for a sustainable Berkeley Lab. Within the context of a broader strategy, I will present details regarding approaches to new building construction and review candidate technologies being considered as building retrofits. I present this strategy as "draft" to encourage input, generate ideas, and identify omissions. Also, I hope this will encourage collaboration and opportunities to support, leverage, and apply EETD research.
