ColorPower: A Structured Approach to Demand Response

ColorPower is a distributed, biologically-inspired, self-organizing aggregation software approach to demand response.  It requires no HANs, no direct price signals, no load control programs to work, but instead follows a principle of automated volunteerism that minimizes individual inconvenience.  It provides fast, reliable, and precise load shaping across large populations.  We will present the science research, architecture, and economic theory behind ColorPower, and invite a research collaboration with LBNL to harmonize with OpenADR.
