Greener and Smarter - A New World with Zigbee

Zigbee is a low rate, low power, reliable and secure wireless network technology. It targets applications in sensor networks, lighting controls, home automation, commercial building automation, smart energy, health care, retailing, and more. In this talk we introduce this technology and the industrial standards behind it, e.g. Zigbee Pro, IEEE802.15.4. We will also compare it against other wireless technologies such as WiFi and Bluetooth. Its application examples will also be discussed.
