For the energetic building design, simulation tools with different detailed physical modelling approaches are required depending on the question of the analysis. In the first part of the talk, several case studies will be used to demonstrate which tools can be efficiently used for component simulation, building simulation and city simulation (multi-scale building simulation). The second part will illustrate different opportunities for the integration of these different detailed modeling approaches, such as 1D/3D-co-simulation or adaptive simulation with model structural dynamics.
