Reliable, low-power, time-synchronized wireless sensor networks are now in production deployments in over 100 countries. Over the last four years, these systems have had a dramatic impact on the efficiency of a wide range of industries, from oil and gas to steel to HVAC to parking enforcement. New capabilities in silicon, and new international standards, lead to a future in which the focus shifts to sensors and applications, as the networks fade into the obscurity of routine availability. This talk will provide an overview of industry standards, technology available from Dust Networks, and data from example deployments.
