In order to understand the opportunities to improve energy use in Building-90 we wanted to have a flexible, accurate, and reliable tool that could simulate realistic operation of the building. We developed an EnergyPlus model of the building, using information from a variety of sources to give us a tool to test "what if" scenarios of the buildings energy use. The current HVAC system operation of building 90 and the modeling challenges will be presented.
