As policy makers think about how to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and develop energy efficiency programs, there is much discussion of involving local governments. Jody London, a longtime energy policy analyst who works with local governments on these issues, recently joined the School Board in Oakland. Jody offers an unique perspective on how energy policy plays out in the day-to-day reality of local government operations. She is uniquely informed about the challenges that school districts face in implementing resource conservation and green building policies. Jody will be joined by Tim White, Assistant Superintendent for Facilites of Oakland Unified School District.
