Tom Scaramellino, Founder and CEO of Efficiency 2.0, an energy efficiency software company based in New York, will demonstrate the potential for advanced energy efficiency software to change consumer energy behavior. Best practices for influencing energy behavior will be identified and mapped to a demonstration of Efficiency 2.0's software, Community Connect. The methodologies behind the energy reduction algorithms will be discussed as well the specific features that can change energy behavior. Tom will then describe how behavioral approaches can fit into traditional energy efficiency programs as well as emerging energy efficiency markets, particularly Energy Savings Certificate markets like Connecticut's Class III Renewable Portfolio Standard.
