Building Performance Software (BPS) allows building stakeholders/operators to identify the when and where of energy waste while at the same time ensuring the delivery of a healthy/productive indoor environment. Generally; users of BPS will realize a 15 – 25% reduction in the energy used to heat, cool and ventilate a commercial building, regardless of the buildings age and existing building control system. BPS is the foundational information platform for operation and maintenance of a high performing building. Building Performance Software collects, on a continuous basis, comprehensive indoor air quality (IAQ) information via sensors located in the building’s occupied space. This data is made available to the end user via a web based software interface. User friendly, detailed reports provide detailed information relative to Energy Conservation Opportunities (ECO). Temperature data shows which areas are overheated in the winter and overcooled in the summer. Carbon Dioxide levels indicate which areas are over ventilated resulting in unnecessary air exchanges. Building on this information, operation and maintenance programs are fine tuned to maximize performance. Building Performance Software works as a continuous commissioning program.
