Please join us for a brown bag lunch to hear about a new green technology and new ways of doing business in Asia, the US and in between. A foreign-invented power efficiency technology will be described and demonstrated. Entrepreneurial plans for its deployment in the US will be described including a pilot with the San Francisco Giants. Besides giving the Giants 5% savings with no upfront cost, the entrepreneurial team hopes to develop a proof-of-concept test case where Securitized Energy Savings (SESs) are created for green and social investors. A brief introduction on carbon credits and Voluntary Emission Reduction credits (VERs) will be discussed. This enterprise is in its early stages of development and input is desired. Stephen Lin is a recent graduate from UC Berkeley, and is now a green entrepreneur. His prior experience included work in finance at Credit Lyonnais as their youngest stockbroker in Taipei, Taiwan. Stephen is actively working to bring foreign-invented technology to the United States, and he is also working to bring American forms of finance to Asia. He is the founder of Eco Financial, Ltd., a United Kingdom company dedicated to sourcing high-quality ESCo projects for investors and the first trial project is with the federal government of Malaysia.
