UC Berkeley has recently launched Cal Climate Action Partnership (CalCAP), an initiative to complete a greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction feasibility study for its campus. The goal of CalCAP is to identify long term policies that will help reduce net GHG emissions related to campus activities, and to develop the business case for incorporating those policies into Cal's institutional framework. Fahmida Ahmed, Project Manager for CalCAP, is leading the effort by collaborating with staff, student, faculty and administration on emissions reduction opportunities. At LBNL, she will present the preliminary emissions inventory and potential emissions reduction projects, and solicit your feedback on energy efficiency projects. The final recommendations for emissions reduction will be presented to Chancellor Birgeneau in April 2007.
