This seminar will present a short outline of the facility and the various investigations carried out during the last couple of years in a simulated aircraft cabin at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). These encompass studies of the human response to different humidity levels, thermal effects, application of various purification units, as well as the effect of ozone and ozone initiated chemistry - a joint effort between UC Berkeley and DTU. Other investigations have utilized thermal manikins and heated cylinders as substitutes for the occupants, and different measuring techniques such as GC-MS and PTR-MS have been employed.
