This talk will discuss some of my recent work in global and regional climate change:Effects of increasing spatial resolution in global climate models;Relationship between simulation fidelity on regional and larger spatial scales;Recent temperature trends in California, and what might be causing them;Regional climate impacts of irrigation;Why some El Nino winters are very wet in California and others are not;Effects of climate change on river flows in California, with implications for water availability and flood risk;Effects of climate change on yields of regional crops.
