The President of the Regents of the University of California delegates to the Laboratory Director the authority to solicit and accept gifts. The new contract with DOE under which the University manages the Lab includes a change that simplifies the gift program at LBNL.  Jeff Weiner, who helped craft the new policy, will make a short presentation and answer questions on the Lab's guidelines and procedures for processing gifts.  Jeff's presentation will highlight the differences between a gift and a sponsored project.
