Infotility has developed the DR Database to meet the CEC's vision of a comprehensive, consistent, time-marked, and representative database of end user energy data related to participation in selected California sponsored demand response programs.  The database will allow the Energy Commission and other identified research agencies to understand the electrical load shedding characteristics of larger California end users during selected demand response events.  The research has developed a research engine that includes results from Working Group 2's demand response programs (Critical Peak Pricing & Demand Bidding Program) including customer information, meter data, submeter data, and attitudinal surveys; it also contains information associated with LBNL's Auto-DR program.  As the diagram below illustrates, the database configuration contains the flexibility to evolve into a statewide resource for the design and implementation of improved demand response capabilities, to hold California's electricity supply/demand balance in the ”comfort range” on a sustained basis.
