For the past few years, I have been involved in (a) acquiring EMS data from a large number (thousands) of buildings, and performing a variety of analyses, (b) acquiring data from industrial facilities and performing statistical process control analyses, (c) develop neural net techniques for diagnostics, and (d) engineering model reconciliation with performance data and their use in diagnostics and optimal control. In addition I have been heavily involved in developing software for energy applications using modern object-oriented approaches and have ideas on how they might apply to Energy Plus and similar codes.
