
Dr. Alexander Zhivov is currently the chairman of the International Task Force ”Autovent International” focusing on environmental problems within the Automotive Industry. This Task Force was formed in 1997 to develop the ”Ventilation Guide for Automotive Industry”. The guide was to be seen as a building block within the EU sponsored ”Industrial Ventilation Design Guide Book” project, covering both theory and applications. In his presentation, Dr. Zhivov will talk about his work with the automotive industry, describe major highlights from the ”Ventilation Guide for Automotive Industry” and talk about building, process and HVAC systems related measures of energy conservation in automotive plants.Dr. Alexander M. Zhivov received his M.S. in Mechanical Engineering at the Leningrad Civil Engineers Institute in 1975, Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the Central Research and Experimental Design Institute for Industrial Buildings, Moscow in 1983; and MBA from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in 1994. He has 27 years of experience in Industrial Ventilation as a researcher, practicing engineer, company general manager, consultant and lecturer.
