To Add, Delete, Change, or Review Chemical Containers

(Note: It is suggested that you make a printout of your inventory first, mark it up with changes, and then go online and make updates.)

  1. Select Inventory Maintenance from the Main Menu.
  2. Select
    • Enter Containers to add chemicals.
    • Delete Containers to remove chemicals.
    • Browse/update Containers to change (or browse) existing records. All information for one container at a time is displayed.
    • Search and Browse to browse your list of chemicals (not in a defined order, unfortunately). About 18 containers at a time are displayed, with a limited amount of information for each container.

To Get a Printout of Your Chemical Inventory

  1. If you haven't done so before, first go into User Preferences from the Main Menu and Set Default Printer.
    • Tip #1: In the first (of two) fields of the Set Default Printer dialog box, clear the field (with the F12 key), enter the first few letters of your nearby distributed printer name, and hit F3 or ^L to see a list of available printers. (If the system doesn't have or won't accept your distributed printer, call Jack Salazar (x6571), ) and see if your printer can be added.)
    • Tip #2: In the Set Default Printer dialog box, go to the second field, clear the field (with the F12 key), enter your building number, hit F3 or ^L , and select a printer near you with the up and down arrow keys.
  2. Select Reports in Main Menu.
  3. Select Container Inventory , and select the type of report you want. Normally you will want an Employee Inventory to see a list of all containers owned by a particular person.
  4. Be sure to tab into the Group/sort by: field and hit F3 or ^L to choose how you want the listing sorted. I recommend sort by Employee and room for a very useful report layout, but you can experiment with other sort options.
